ExtensionSunset publishes honest extension reviews with no sponsored placements, no affiliate pressure, and no advertisers telling us what to recommend.
There are thousands of Chrome extensions competing for installation, and most review sites are paid to recommend specific ones. We're not. Every extension on this site was tested in real workflows — SEO research, content writing, sales prospecting, and personal productivity — and rated based on what actually works.
We focus on three things: what's genuinely free with no strings attached, what paid tools justify their cost, and what should be avoided for safety or quality reasons.
Each extension is installed and used for a minimum of two weeks across real tasks before being reviewed. We check:
Our primary coverage areas are SEO tools, productivity extensions, and browser security. We have detailed guides for the most common workflows: SEO research, content writing and productivity, password management and privacy, and sales and business tools.
We also cover browser-specific questions — what works on Firefox, what's limited on Safari — and publish practical guides like how to install Ahrefs Toolbar and how to remove malicious extensions.
If an extension we've reviewed has changed significantly, or if you've spotted a factual error, extension details are updated when we're made aware of changes. We don't have a public submission form but keep reviews current as part of our regular maintenance cycle.
